The Gazette Gig Poster
Music Packaging
This was a concert poster project done for music packaging class. Each student was challenged to pick one real artist and design a concert poster for them. One of my all-time favorite bands is The Gazette, so I jumped at the opportunity to make them a bold and edgy poster.
Project Summary
This work is completely illustrated and features custom modified type based on Megascope Variable.
I went through several different versions of this poster, but ultimately I knew what I wanted my finished result to be. At the start, I played a lot with the composition and I had this idea of this fierce wolf twisting its body around and showing its teeth. I knew that I needed to put type in it eventually, so I was thoughtful with where I put my empty space and how large I wanted the wolf to be.
