Ophelia Display Typeface
Typeface Design
Ophelia Romantic Display Typeface is a custom font inspired by Gothic romance and is one of my favorite projects I’ve done. Ophelia is my first and only typeface, but hopefully, I will get to make more in the future! Since I had never made a font before, this project came with a lot of learning curves and difficulties- but before I began doing anything, I researched a lot of type that inspired me.
Project Summary
I went to the library and looked at several old texts and font books. I was inspired by a lot of these elaborate and delicate fonts and I wanted to capture some of that whimsy in my own typeface as well.
This typeface features a full set of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and a limited set of special characters.
